Hey there! I’m Cory, your photographer. I love to celebrate the beauty and spirit of women through photography.
I believe a boudoir or glamour portrait session is a life-affirming moment in time, something every woman should gift to herself. This is your “me” time, the moment to celebrate who you are today.
Our mission is to empower women through creating beautiful portraits showcasing their true essence of strength and beauty while reminding you how extraordinary you are.
There is nothing more beautiful and powerful than showcasing your true, authentic self. When you allow your light to shine through we can truly capture your true spirit to display for the world to see.

What kinds of sessions do you offer?
While I do photograph all genders, I specialize in portrait photography for women. I have photographed hundreds if not thousands of women by now in my 17 year career as a photographer. These are the most common kinds of sessions I offer:

It is common for people to mix and match multiple types of sessions into one. In fact, I encourage it!
For example, it is extremely common for my clients to get an updated headshot at the beginning of their boudoir session.

We are located in in the heart of Springfield. The studio is close to any amenity you may need including boutique hotels, shopping, museums, and upscale and fast dining experiences.
If you are traveling in for your photoshoot, don't worry we are easy to find! And just in case you're wondering: it's not uncommon for clients to drive 3+ hours for their session.
Many clients choose to make a fun day or weekend trip while they are in town. I am always happy to make recommendations of where to stay, where to eat, and what to do while in town ensuring you have the ultimate getaway!

frequently asked questions
Do you provide outfits or help me figure out what to wear?
Yes and no... I do not provide any lingerie due to sanitary reasons. BUT I do have some pieces at the studio you're welcome to use. These are pieces that go OVER any lingerie or underwear you bring. The studio wardrobe has basic items like button down shirts and robes as well as specialty pieces like the angel wings, tulle robes, etc.
I will guide you through what to wear, how to find outfits, and what you can use that you may already own for your session, so you have nothing to worry about there :)
I've never done a photoshoot before and I don't know how to pose. Will you help me?
Yes of course! My job as your photographer is to guide you through the whole experience. Like 95% of my clients have never had a proper photoshoot before (or if they have, it's been since the days of Glamour Shots)!
I will show you how to move your body and pose you down to the pinky. No worries about "what do I do with my hands" or "I'm worried about having a double chin" or not having photos turn out because you didn't bring a list of poses. I've been a photographer for nearly half of my life now and know how to pose ALL body types and modify poses based on your range of mobility and goals.
Do you offer professional hair & makeup styling?
Yes, included in your session is professional hair and makeup styling for one person (if booking a session for multiple people, you can add it on for $175/person - perfect if you're being photographed with others who also want that extra bit of pampering)! I have vetted all of my stylists so they can work with all skin types, ages, etc. And yes, this includes being able to work with natural hair.
Can I bring someone with me to the session?
Yes of course! As long as the person you are bringing is a nice, supportive person. In fact, most of my clients bring a friend to share the day with. You don't have to be photographed together necessarily, but could do back to back sessions with maybe a few images taken together in between.
I always say: a day shared is often more fun and even more special.
What kinds of products do you offer?
I have offer a variety of custom and heirloom products. The most popular items are digital files, wall art, and albums. After booking in, you'll get a copy of our Products guide with more info on everything we offer and the options to upgrade your package.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes I do! We offer financing through PayPal Credit or Affirm and in-house layaway plans with no interest. Layaway means you can pay off your order over time, and when your payment is finalized you will receive your products.

We are located in the Glenstone Square business center. After entering the parking lot, Cory Powell Photography is the first suite around the back left corner of the parking lot.
