Glamography Magazine aims to feature everyday women and their stories. Our mission is to give these women the opportunity to break out of their day-to-day, get glammed up a little, and celebrate their true, authentic selves. This is Tina's feature from the upcoming issue of Glamography:

I was born in Kansas City and I was raised here in Springfield, MO. I am the oldest of 5 children. I love to hangout with my family, and I love to sing.

I feel the thing about the woman I am that makes me uniquely powerful is that no matter what life has to throw at me I still try to keep moving forward.

I booked my photoshoot about a year after I lost my son. It was a very hard time in my life. I needed a boost. So I thought I would try a photoshoot. I didn't know or expect how much I needed that boost of confidence. I am so grateful to Cory and his team. They really made me feel special. I had a lot of nervousness going into my session. There were thoughts in my head about my weight gain. I even questioned if I was beautiful anymore. When I saw how beautiful my photos turned out, it changed my mind… I was in awe. I never dreamt or imagined I could look that good. I was like, ‘wait is that me.’

I would recommend others to book a photoshoot because it is an amazing experience. I feel it will give every woman a boost of confidence. Sometimes everyone needs it from time to time.

Beauty isn't just skin deep. It is a reflection of the soul. It is confidence, it is how you love, care, and how you show kindness. It is the light that shines on the inside out. Beauty is being able to change an atmosphere with just a simple smile or laugh. Beauty is having the strength to keep going even when all hell's breaking loose in your life.

Now the confidence part I lack sometimes but it is something that I work on everyday. I strive to meet this definition of beauty. I always try to show love and care to everyone, even the people who may not always deserve it… you never know what others may be going through. Having this experience reminded me who I am and the strength I carry.
