Glamography Magazine aims to feature everyday women and their stories. Our mission is to give these women the opportunity to break out of their day-to-day, get glammed up a little, and celebrate their true, authentic selves. This is Terri's feature from the upcoming issue of Glamography:

CORY: Tell me your story!

TERRI: I am a 60 year old wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I have spent most of my adult life taking care of others in one capacity or another and only started the self love/self care journey in recent years.

My life has been full of ups and downs, good moments and heartbreaks but I have not only persevered through the bad times, I have come out stronger.

CORY: What is YOUR definition of beauty?

TERRI: Beauty comes from within. It is self confidence and a smile that lights up the entire face. It is believing in yourself and in your own value. It is being as kind and giving to yourself as you are to others.

We as women are soooo hard on ourselves. When I look at other women I see only the beauty but each one of us only sees our flaws.

Do I feel like you match that definition? It is a work in progress. I am still learning to accept and love myself and my body as it is.

CORY: Why did you decide to book your photoshoot?

TERRI: I wanted to do something for ME. I wanted to feel pretty for once and even a little bit sexy. I was feeling old (I was a grandmother at 36 and a great grandmother at 58) and other than a few special dates in my younger days (my wedding, etc) I haven't ever felt like I was pretty.

CORY: Were you nervous about anything before your photoshoot?

TERRI: Yes! With my age, my imperfect body with its dimples, stretch marks and rolls... Was I being ridiculous to want to do this for myself? And worse, what if the photographer laughed at me or I didn't like my photos?

But Cory put me right at ease and even made me laugh several times which isn't easy. He was personable, professional and funny all rolled into one. And when I saw the photos, they were so amazing and I had a hard time believing they were "me" I still like to look at them if I am having a bad day and it cheers me up.

Every woman needs to feel pretty and sexy. We all need the reminder that we are beautiful.
